Conceal was kept in isolation. She was kept from the world, and was restricted from peeking out of her window to see this very world outside. Her room was almost like that of a box, and the only thing that surrounded her was her stuffed animals and drawings of what she thought the world looked like.
She talked to her plushies as if they could hear her, and greeted the pictures she had made as if they were alive.
Her mother kept her too sheltered, and she was quite the squeamish and strict. To her, the world seemed like hell, and hell was not what she wanted her daughter to step foot in, so she kept Conceal in her very room ever since she was born.
Conceal felt as if she was lacking something. Never had the animals or pictures reply back. She grew upset, but a voice seemed to take hold of her ears, calming her from this loneliness.
Yet another face made up.
But this one had replied.
She had soon moved on to an imaginary friend; someone who had the same interests as her.
Someone just like her.
These very two seemed as if the same person. Which of course, they were. And Conceal grew more gleeful by this new presence.
The two then became inseparable, and now it was as if they were completely sewn together.
Just when they were that close, the friend of which she made up had became quite hostile, now taking over Conceal and becoming boss. Just when Conceal thought she was being torn to pieces by a friend whom randomly appeared in the first place, she was tearing her own self up...
This had scared the mother to the fact of bringing her to the outer world, to get help. Conceal was hurting herself, and yet her mother wondered why. It was quite obvious! Leaving your child alone in the dark for years wasn't the best idea for their mental health, or physical health, at that!
Conceal was removed from her mother as soon as possible once they found out what her mother had been doing, but Conceal's mother saw it as right.
Conceal was sent out to another family, who soon grew wary of her appalling fits and self-infliction. But while other's thought of her as mentally ill and wanting to kill herself, Conceal was actually being abused by her made-up friend of which soon became part of her. She now wielded two personalities, her original kind and generous self, to a bitter and demonic personality which only craved for masses of power.
Conceal had no other choice but to stay in the care of the asylum, and was seized when it looked as if her other personality was about to kick in.
She was once again left in a box of isolation, but had seen more people than just her mother.
They all seemed the same to her.
They were all dressed in white, and were the opposite of what her other personality was.
Darkness. That's what it was. Darkness.
... But it preferred the name Reveal, as a fitting mockery of Conceal's name.
Conceal now referred to herself as 'we', and when she was blamed or pit against something, Conceal admitted that, 'she' had done it, or 'she' would not allow that.
Fortunately, Conceal had made spontaneous progress in the past few months, and was out of the asylum, only to be exposed to the world her mother had thought of as hell. Conceal could now control Reveal with ease, but if she were to get even the slightest distracted, Reveal would take her chance.
Her mother now wouldn't accept her, believing that Conceal was now polluted, once she put her foot upon earth's ground, and had sent her back out into this world of which she barely knew of.
Conceal now found herself wandering about, slowly gathering money for her own survival, and kept concetrated so her other wouldn't take over, and so she could achieve more commonly.
If she were to go off track once again, she'd lose everything and would have to start all over, which she couldn't afford.
But days grew brighter, and her luck grew slightly higher. But when she tripped and made a flaw, she was caught by a specific hand.
This very hand was of someone who would help her along in the mere future.
This very person she had met was Ballistic, who befriended her and took her in. Though Ballistic's home seemed as if a kingom of bronze pinions, Conceal took it as paradise.
Conceal sees Ballistic as a motherly figure, and so and surprisingly does her other personality Reveal.
It seems as if she were one of the few fortunate...
But then again, she's still quite haunted by her other self.
So I suppose it's up to you to pick if this is a happy ending or not...
